SUMMARY

The main focuses of an Architectural Millwork Engineer are taking finalized millwork shop drawings, and creating manufacturing documents and programs for production.  These include CNC & Saw programs, “as built drawings,” 3d renderings,  detailed instructions, paneling lay outs, veneer matching layouts, construction jigs, and any other items that aid manufacturing of custom architectural woodwork.

Responsibilities

  • Create machinery (CNC & Saw) programs and any other relevant construction documents for custom millwork and casework using AutoCAD, Microvellum, and Innergy software.
  • Ensure “As-Built drawings” matches construction plan 
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure design intent and project goals are met. 
  • Ensure project schedules, deadlines, and budgets are met.
  • Communicate with the manufacturing team to ensure that production requirements are clearly understood.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the company’s engineering standards.
  • And other duties / responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the company

  • Machine programs are accurate and need no rework at the shop floor
  • Work orders are processed on time and under budget
  • The shop floor trusts the information coming from the engineer
