SUMMARY

A project manager is responsible for managing a specific project or several projects within the company. The project manager is accountable for planning, scheduling, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and customer communication throughout a project. All of this takes place within the framework of achieving the company’s goals and visions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope, within budget or under budget
  • Communicate & confirm all project delivery and milestone dates with customer 
  • Ensure all project dates are accurate within INNERGY, throughout the project 
  • Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools 
  • End of Month WIP Report, INNERGY Budget Groups 
  • Review, Revise, Finalize, and Submit Project contracts 
  • Price / Value shop for project vendors and materials 
  • Identify / work with other departments to create value engineering options for internal cost savings such as (but not limited to):
  • Build Design 
  • Batch Release 
  • Building and manage relationships with customers and vendors
  • Gather or coordinate all field dimensions for the project 
  • Manage changes to project scope, project schedule, and project cost using appropriate verification techniques 
  • Identify change orders and create Change Order Requests (CORs)
  • Schedule Changes 
  • Scope Changes & Additional Work -Bulletins, Addendums, CCD’s, Revised Shop Drawings, etc.
  • Digitally mark up shop drawings and documents 
  • Maintain flexibility / availability: various project shifts, including weekends and evenings 
  • Give feedback / have open communication with installers on design/build and shipments 
  • Other duties / responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the company

Key Results

  • Project Work Orders are released within the company workflow goals
  • Release percentage goals
  • Milestone dates goals
  • Work orders and project meet or beat budget 
  • If project has gone over budget, explanation on why and what was done to achieve budget
  • Early identification of budget issues is critical
  • Internal customers are receiving consistent and accurate information 
  • Identifying ways for cost savings throughout project including maximizing change orders 
  • Projects are strategically invoicing to maximize cash flow 
  • Project has set shipment dates, with clear products per shipment 
  • The PM has a strong, positive relationship with customer to aide Sales & Estimating for future projects
